Verizon Delaware President William R. Allan presented a gift of $15,000 in support of Christiana Care Health System’s Forensic Nurse Examiner program in December.

Allan, a Christiana Care trustee, presented the check to Gordon Reed, M.D., program director, and Anita Symonds, RN, program coordinator, along with members of the Forensic Nurse Examiner team. Verizon’s gift will make possible education programs required for the nurses to maintain their expertise.

Since 1997, Christiana Care Forensic Nurse Examiners have provided comprehensive care for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, child or elder abuse and neglect, and other violent crimes.
