The Lewes-Rehoboth Rotary Club and Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club in Sussex County, Delaware, are supporting innovative approaches to improving memory care through a $5,000 gift to the Swank Center for Memory Care and Geriatric Consultation at Christiana Care.
“We are working to reduce caregiver burden and improve activities of daily living in individuals with problems in caregiver recognition,” said James Ellison, M.D., MPH, The
Swank Foundation Endowed Chair in Memory

grateful for the rotaries’ financial support.”
The Swank Center for Memory Care and Geriatric Consultation is Delaware’s first and only comprehensive outpatient office for patients with memory disorders and their families.
Approximately 18,000 people across Delaware are coping with Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder. The Swank Center for Memory Care and Geriatric Consultation offers these patients and their families essential support, education and guidance from diagnosis through treatment.
