Christiana Care Health System, headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, is one of the country’s largest health care providers, ranking 22nd in the nation for hospital admissions.
Christiana Care is a major teaching hospital with two campuses and more than 250 Medical-Dental residents and fellows. Christiana Care is recognized as a regional center for excellence in cardiology, cancer and women’s health services. The system is home to Delaware’s only Level I trauma center for adults and children, the only center of its kind between Philadelphia and Baltimore. Christiana Care also features a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, the only delivering hospital in the state to offer this level of care for newborns.
A not-for-profit, non-sectarian health system, Christiana Care includes two hospitals with more than 1,200 patient beds, a home health care service, preventive medicine, rehabilitation services, a network of primary care physicians and an extensive range of outpatient services.

Christiana Care rated one of Delaware’s top workplaces
For the 15th consecutive year, Christiana Care has been recognized as one of the top places
to work in Delaware, according to a News Journal survey.
The News Journal uses Energage LLC to conduct its annual survey of Top Workplaces in Delaware.
“I am inspired every day by the incredible dedication that our caregivers demonstrate, throughout every part of our organization,” said Janice E. Nevin, M.D.,
MPH, president and chief executive officer. “We are at our best when we find joy in our work, and
this award is a wonderful testament to the positive experience that we strive to create here at Christiana Care.
We serve together, guided by our values, excellence and love.”
This year’s survey of Christiana Care employees consisted of 30 questions on topics about leadership, work environment, connection to the organization and its direction, productivity, pay and benefits.
Survey results reveal that employees are proud to be part of Christiana Care’s values and direction, and were especially positive about the organization’s ability to do things efficiently and well, while encouraging diverse points of view. Only 60 companies made this year’s list. 
