Plan now to gather under the tent on the grounds of the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute for an evening of enlightening presentations, heavy hors d’oeuvres, music and dancing. Proceeds will support the Fund for Translational Cancer Research to accelerate innovative advancements being investigated right here — from a revolutionary blood screening test to detect invasive breast cancer, to the use of the revolutionary CRISPR gene editing technique in novel treatment therapies, to groundbreaking T-Cell technology to destroy cancerous ovarian tumors. Boot Camp for New Moms®
9 a.m. – noon, Wilmington Hospital Gateway Conference Center
A unique mother-to-mother, community-based workshop that equips women with the tools to successfully manage the transition into mother- hood. During this program for new moms and moms-to-be, we will share advice and tips on:
• Forming a parenting team.
• Your relationship with dad.
• Going back to work or staying home.
• Breastfeeding realities and challenges.
• What new dads are going through and how to bring out the best in him.
• Mommyland and pressure from society, media and yourself.
• Taking care of you to be a better mom.
• AND anything else on your mind!

Residency Training Alumni Reunion

The second annual reunion attracts physicians, dentists and other residency program alumni to return to Christiana Care for an informal gathering and get reacquainted with former colleagues now practicing in their fields. The event supports Christiana Care current residents and helps meet the everyday needs of our physicians and fellows in training through the Resident Endowment Fund. The fund aims to provide emergency assistance to alleviate unnecessary stress for residents and their families, and assist with costs of continuing education, research efforts, conference attendance, presentations, wellness, and personal and professional development. 9th Annual Kidney Transplant Symposium for Professional Care Providers of Patients with ESRD 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Executive Banquet & Conference Center, Newark
The goal of this year’s symposium is to present the risk factors associated with having a kidney transplant. Christiana Care Health System is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by Delaware Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
