Christiana Care Health System, headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, is one of the country’s largest health care providers, ranking 22nd in the nation for hospital admissions.
Christiana Care is a major teaching hospital with two campuses and more than 250 Medical-Dental residents and fellows. Christiana Care is recognized as a regional center for excellence in cardiology, cancer and women’s health services. The system is home to Delaware’s only Level I trauma center for adults and children, the only center of its kind between Philadelphia and Baltimore. Christiana Care also features a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, the only delivering hospital in the state to offer this level of care for newborns.

The Christiana Care Way Awards Exhibit Opens Oct. 21

Wilmington Campus, Gateway Conference Center at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30 through 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2.
The Christiana Care Way Awards embody our commitment to be exceptional today and even better tomorrow, as we share and exhibit the excellent performance improvement work done by our employees throughout the year.
For more than a decade, Christiana Care’s Way Awards program has challenged all who work within the health system to be health care innovators. Physicians, nurses and other clinical and non-clinical staff collaborate to identify an opportunity for improvement, then develop and carry out a plan to achieve improvements in process or outcomes using the Plan-Do-Check-Act, or Lean Six Sigma DMAIC models.
