Leadership changes announced for The Medical Group of Christiana Care
The following leadership changes have been announced for The Medical Group of Christiana Care practice operations. These changes help standardize practice operations across all employed practices, align with Christiana Care's service line model and enhance the organization's ability to grow and support its ambulatory practices, said Mike Eppehimer, MHSA, FACHE, chief operating officer of The Medical Group.
Phil Chapman has been named vice president, Medical Group practice management and operations, to lead a centralized team focused on creating
a standardized approach to practice management, financial management and access across all practices. He also will continue to work with Christiana Care Oncology Hematology as the practice transitions into Christiana Care.
Bob Bycer, vice president, Medical Group administration, will continue in his role as a senior leader in the Medical Group and will support Chapman in this new role.
Amanda B. Klockars-McMullen, Ph.D., RN, CPHQ, has been named vice president, ambulatory quality and safety, and primary care operations, and will continue to lead
quality and safety efforts across Medical Group practices and eBrightHealth ACO. She will also take on additional operational responsibility over Christiana Care's primary care practices.
Fran Gott, MBA, RRT, has been named corporate director, Medical Group operations, primary, community and specialty practices. He will lead the practice operations for community and specialty practices within Primary Care and Community Medicine. Gott and Klockars- McMullen both will serve in operational leadership roles in the Primary Care and Community Medicine Service Line.
Missy Bollinger, MBA, BSN, has been named corporate director, Medical Group operations, behavioral health and
neurosciences practices. She will lead practice operations for the behavioral health and neurosciences practices and continue to serve in her role as operational leader of the Neurosciences Service Line.
Kate Rudolph, MS, has been named corporate director, Medical Group operations, surgery and women and children’s health practices. She will lead practice operations for the surgery and women & children’s health practices and become the operational leader of the Women and Children’s Service Line.
William Holden III, MBA, will continue as vice president, Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute, and operational leader of the Cancer Service Line. 
Michael Knorr promoted to vice president, Patient Care Services
Michael Knorr, MSN, RN, PCCN, has been appointed vice president, Patient Care Services, Acute Medicine
Service Line. He has served in this position on an interim basis since May 2017.
Knorr, a dedicated professional and well-respected leader, has 22 years of nursing experience. He joined Christiana Care in 1995 as a direct care nurse at Wilmington Hospital and became a nurse manager in 2002. He has led both the intensive care and stepdown units at Wilmington Hospital.
Knorr received a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Delaware. He is board certified in adult progressive care nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. n
Brenda Rabeno appointed administrative director of Acute Medicine Service Line Brenda Rabeno, MBA, MLS (ASCP)CM, has been named the administrative director of the Acute Medicine
Service Line.
Rabeno has been serving Christiana Care as the transfusion safety officer, leading efforts to implement the patient blood management program in partnership with key departments and service lines.
In her role with the Acute Medicine Service Line, she will be a key member of the leadership team with primary responsibility over project management and data systems, as well as the development and implementation of strategies to positively impact flow, clinical outcomes and patient experience.
Rabeno has an MBA in health care administration from Wilmington University, a bachelor's degree in medical technology from the University of Delaware and is pursuing a master’s degree in health care administration at Drexel University. n
