“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new cardiology practice in Elkton and look forward to bringing high-quality cardiology services to our neighbors in Cecil County,” said Erik Marshall, M.D., cardiologist at ChristianaCare Cardiology at Elkton. “We are committed to making our practice a welcoming and compassionate place for everyone, close to where they live and work, so they can receive the very best heart care.”

“Residents of Cecil County can be assured that this practice is led by an experienced and highly trained board-certified cardiologist and advanced nurse practitioner who have been caring for heart patients for many years,” said Kirk Garratt, M.D., medical director of the Center for Heart & Vascular Health and John H. Ammon Chair of Cardiology at ChristianaCare. “At all of our cardiology practices, we take a personalized approach to care and understand that every patient is unique. That’s why we take the time to get to know our patients, their medical history and their goals for heart health.”

The practice relies on the newest guidelines for patient care. When cardiac testing is needed, the practice uses state-of-the-art equipment at Union Hospital. Diagnostic testing services include echocardiography, Holter monitoring, electrocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, stress testing and nuclear stress testing. Because the providers at ChristianaCare Cardiology at Elkton are part of the large network of cardiovascular experts associated with ChristianaCare, they can draw on other medical, radiologic and surgical expertise when needed.
