Telehealth options just for employees
Virtual Primary Care Practice
One of the newest health care options for caregivers is the Christiana Care Virtual Primary Care practice. Between career and home life, it can be hard to make time to see a primary care provider in person.
“The Christiana Care Virtual Primary Care Practice offers high-quality health care
to meet caregivers’ needs when it’s convenient for them,” said Janine
Jordan, M.D., medical director of the practice.
Instead of an in-person appointment in a doctor’s office, patients in the Virtual Primary Care Practice use a smartphone,
tablet or personal computer to connect with one of our health care providers. They see their provider face- to-face in a video visit (similar to FaceTime or Skype).
The practice includes a primary care physician, nurse practitioners, a registered nurse, medical assistants, behavioral health care professionals, pharmacists, nutrition- ists, social workers, health educators and care coordinators.
The Virtual Primary Care Practice is available exclusively
to Christiana Care caregivers, their spouses and adult dependents. Enrolling in the Virtual Primary Care Practice will replace your current primary care provider. Once enrolled, caregivers have access to:
• Scheduling at your fingertips.
• Secure text messaging with your provider and clinical staff. • Requesting refill/renewals for your prescriptions.
• Zero copay.

Christiana Care Medical Aid Units
Christiana Care’s five Medical Aid Units, which now include Christiana Care Pediatrics at STAR Campus, offer Express Check-In to save a spot in line at christianacare.org/ medicalaidunit.
The MAUs also offer the convenience of a Christiana Care Member QR code which streamlines your check-in process. For convenient in-person care, Christiana Care Medical Aid Units treat injuries and illnesses that are not severe or life-threatening, but require care within a few hours or the same day. 
Caregivers enrolled in Christiana Care’s medical plan and their families have access to health care from anywhere with a variety of convenient options.
Christiana Care Mobile Health
If you’re not ready to switch your primary care provider, but still want the convenience of a virtual visit with a health care provider from your smartphone, computer or tablet, Christiana Care Mobile Health can provide same-day care for non-emergency concerns such as colds, flu, sprains or strains, or if you are simply not feeling well. There is also zero copay.
Christiana Care Mobile Health is also convenient when you need same-day care for your children or you’re traveling and need a doctor.
