Edmondo Robinson honored with Wilmington Award
Edmondo J. Robinson, M.D., MBA, FACP, Christiana Care’s chief transformation officer, received a Wilmington Award Oct. 4 in recognition of his leadership role in impacting the health of the city and in transforming Christiana Care's historic Wilmington Hospital into a vital, state-of-the-art hospital campus.
  As chief transformation
officer, senior vice president, consumerism, and senior vice president and executive director, Christiana Care Wilmington, Dr. Robinson is highly regarded for his focused, engaged
leadership style, his understanding of leading-edge technology and his determination to make health care convenient, personal and impactful.
Dr. Robinson played a pivotal role in establishing the Rocco A. Abessinio Family Wilmington Health Center, which provides high-quality, respectful care to Wilmington’s diverse community, including many of its most vulnerable populations. He was a key leader in pioneering efforts to involve
patients in organizational decision- making through the creation of Christiana Care's Patient and Family Advisory Council. And he recently helped lead the hospital’s successful verification as a Level III trauma center in Delaware’s statewide trauma system.
He was instrumental in transforming Wilmington Hospital into a vital, state-of-the-art campus, regionally recognized for its Center for Rehabilitation, Center for Advanced Joint Replacement and the Swank Memory Care Center.

For the last 12 years Dr. Robinson has proudly considered Wilmington his adopted home and has firmly established his role as a citizen leader dedicated to improving the city. He currently serves as vice chair of the Wilmington Renaissance Corporation Board and has shared his extensive health care and business expertise with the Delaware Health Care Commission, on the City of Wilmington Health Care Task Force and on the board of directors of Nativity Preparatory School of Wilmington.
Dr. Robinson received his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, an MBA with an emphasis in health care management from the Wharton School
at the University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in health policy research, also from Penn. 
    Ashlee Ridgley appointed nurse manager of Wilmington ACE Unit
Ashlee Ridgley, MSN, RN-BC, has been appointed nurse manager of the Wilmington 8 South ACE Unit.
Ridgley joined Christiana Care in 2008 and has been the assistant nurse manager for the 8 South ACE Unit since 2014. She received her MSN from Wilmington University in December 2017 and her BSN from the University of Delaware in 2008. 
