Board certified surgeon and Medical Director of the Breast Center, Diana Dickson-Witmer, M.D., will present a free community talk on breast health focusing on what it means to have dense breasts, what makes a mammogram ‘dense,’ risks and next steps. She will also present the five ways to reduce breast cancer risk.

Annual Neurovascular Symposium

The Sixth Annual Neurovascular Symposium hosted by Christiana Care Health System will begin with the latest changes to prehospital stroke decision making and the importance of time in stroke care. Subsequent sessions will explore endovascular advancements and the role of Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) in stroke. Additional sessions will focus on posterior circulation strokes, recreational drugs and stroke, neurosurgical options for stroke, and the assessment of cryptogenic stroke.

during National Donate Life Month, and invites anyone interested to join in a flag raising ceremony. Light refreshments

Inaugural Lung Cancer Symposium

This symposium, sponsored by the Christiana Care Value Institute, the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute, the American
Lung Association, Delaware INBRE and the State of Delaware, will bring together health care professionals and interested community members to exchange information about the dangers of lung cancer and share novel approaches targeted to reducing death and morbidity among patients who suffer from this disease.
