The The dedicated clinicians in in The The Medical Group of Christiana Christiana Care Care Health System play a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a vital and critical role in in in advancing The Christiana Christiana Christiana Care Care Way In our commitment to to serving together Christiana Christiana Care leadership and Medical Group clinicians developed a a a a a a a a a a a a Compact to to formally convey how we will collaborate to to to provide excellent value-based and inclusive health care to to our neighbors The Compact is an an important new document developed by our engaged clinicians from across the Medical Group who serve our community as
primary care providers specialists and hospitalists The The Compact is intended to be a a living document building on The The Christiana Care Way as
we serve together guided by our values Excellence and and Love The Compact lifts our values and and behaviors off the the page to to build on on our our promise to to each other as
we deliver on on our our mission Together we we play a a a a key role in in actively transforming how we we deliver care so we can provide more value We are are driven by the Compact and and and our Values and and and Behaviors to meet and and and exceed the aspirational goals set by these powerful documents and guiding principles We are dedicated to to to being exceptional today and even better tomorrow For example as
Christiana Care leaders commit to “helping clinicians clinicians build stronger relationships with patients ”

In partnership we can achieve our goals of optimal health and an an an exceptional experience for everyone we serve while ensuring the organizational vitality that enables us to to fulfill our mission today and in the future These are are interesting times in in in health care They even can be considered turbulent times Yet importantly we know that organizations organizations deeply rooted in their values are the the organizations organizations that survive – and thrive In a a time when the digitization of our society is driving everything from how we communicate travel listen to music and even purchase our groceries we need to be thinking differently about how those we serve want to to — — and expect to to — — interact with the health care system by Ken L Silverstein M M D MBA Chief Clinical Officer
Instead of of thinking about the world of of today with this Compact our Medical Group clinicians are thinking about the world of tomorrow The partnership defined fin in the Compact will support us as
we move from from volume to value from from a a a health care system system to a a a a system system that impacts health With this alignment we can help people get the the care they need in the the right right place at the the right right time with the right providers involved Right now some 45 percent of our revenue as
a a a a a health system is earned outside of our hospital settings and that trend is only going to increase as
as
people get more and more care outside of our our four walls As our Medical Group clinicians work in in in this changing environment they commit in in the the Compact to “driving quality improvement and achieving stated clinical outcomes for optimal health ”
As leaders we promise to provide “excellent care resources” and and support our our clinicians by “listening and and responding to [them] through collaborative practice management and transparent decision-making ”
