ChristianaCare Neurological Specialists at Concord expands access to neurological care in southeast PA and northern DE

To increase access to high-quality neurological care for residents in northern Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania, ChristianaCare has opened an outpatient neurology practice, ChristianaCare Neurological Specialists at Concord, at Concord Health Center in Chadds Ford, PA

The practice, at 161 Wilmington-West Chester Pike, Suite 1500, Chadds Ford, PA 19317, offers comprehensive neurological services, with a special focus on epilepsy and headache management. It is open on Mondays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Meet the Providers
The ChristianaCare Neurological Specialists at Concord work with patients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to improve their patients’ quality of life, including managing ongoing neurological conditions and preventing new complications.
Brian Oommen, M.D.
“I’m proud to be at Concord Health Center and help expand access to high-quality neurological care in northern Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania—so patients can get the support they need close to home.”
Dr. Brian Oommen is a board-certified neurologist who specializes in epilepsy and a broad range of neurological conditions. He has over 12 years of experience and has trained at top academic centers, including the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Oommen earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed his residency in neurology, followed by fellowship training in epilepsy. He has presented his research at national medical conferences and is dedicated to advancing evidence-based care. Outside of work, he enjoys taking his children to their soccer games.
John R. Pollard, M.D.
“With our new location in Chadds Ford, we’re making expert neurological care more accessible for patients in a convenient, community-based setting.”
Dr. John Pollard is a board-certified neurologist and director of the ChristianaCare Epilepsy Center. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy and complex neurological conditions. Dr. Pollard earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also completed his residency and fellowship training in neurology and epilepsy. He continues to serve as an adjunct associate professor of neurology at Penn and is a recognized leader in epilepsy monitoring and care innovation. In his free time, he enjoys speculative fiction and word games.
Jaynel Rhudd, MSN, FNP-C
“I’m passionate about building trusting relationships with patients and helping them find lasting relief and confidence in managing their neurological health.”
Certified nurse practitioner Jaynel Rhudd has a strong background in both inpatient and outpatient neurology. She began her nursing career at Wilmington Hospital after earning her associate degree in nursing from the Borough of Manhattan Community College. She later completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing at Wilmington University. Since 2017, she has cared for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, with a recent focus in outpatient headache medicine. She lives in North Wilmington and enjoys reading and outdoor activities, especially along the Northern Delaware Greenway Trail.
Etsegenet Tizazu, M.D.
“I’m excited to help patients navigate complex neurological conditions so they feel seen, supported, and never alone in their journey.”
Dr. Etsegenet Tizazu is a board-certified neurologist who specializes in epilepsy and comprehensive neurological care. She earned her medical degree from Wayne State University and holds a master’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Tizazu completed her neurology residency and epilepsy fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Epilepsy Society and the American Academy of Neurology, and she has presented research at national conferences. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and running an non-government organization that addresses the epilepsy treatment gap in Ethiopia.
