Highmark Delaware and ChristianaCare Partner in Special Event to Provide Expert COVID-19 Health Advice for Teachers and School Administrators

Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware is pleased to announce it will be hosting a back to school webinar in partnership with ChristianaCare on September 2, called “Back to School & Supporting Your Positive Well-being in the ‘New’ School Year.”

“Knowing that the COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges for schools, Highmark Delaware and ChristianaCare are joining forces to ensure resources for health and wellness are readily available,” said Nick Moriello, President of Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware. “We look forward to hosting this webinar with our colleagues at ChristianaCare and engaging with our community on this important topic.”

We encourage participation from education professionals, educators, nurses and others who provide direct support to students.

The webinar will feature experts from ChristianaCare, provide an update on COVID-19 from infectious disease experts, and discuss ways to manage mental well-being as Delaware heads back to school. The panel of experts will include:

  • Mary Williams, R.D., Registered Dietitian.
  • Stephen Eppes, M.D., Director, Pediatric Infectious Disease.
  • Karen Antell, M.D.,  Medical Director, School-Based Health Centers.
