“We are excited to expand access to urgent care in the communities we serve, which enable us to provide more of our neighbors with high-quality, on-demand affordable care near where they live, work and play,” said Kert Anzilotti Jr., M.D., MBA, FACR, ChristianaCare’s system chief medical officer and interim president of the Medical Group. “With their unique model of care, convenience and customer focus, our ChristianaCare-GoHealth urgent care centers are all about making it easy for people to address their non-emergency health needs.”

All ChristianaCare-GoHealth Urgent Care locations offer treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, with on-site X-ray services and diagnostic testing. They are open 365 days a year, including holidays, with regular hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

“Having quick access to high-quality care is necessary for a community to thrive,” said Horatio Jones, III, M.D., medical director of ChristianaCare-GoHealth. “We are committed to expanding access to expert care while providing a superior patient experience and are excited to open these four new centers.”

All ChristianaCare-GoHealth locations accept walk-ins, and for added convenience, patients can visit the website to save a place in line and complete registration before arrival. Patients may also connect with a ChristianaCare-GoHealth Urgent Care provider remotely with a virtual visit via a mobile device, computer or tablet.

Like all ChristianaCare-GoHealth locations, the new centers provide the community with a more affordable option for safe and efficient care outside of higher-cost settings, such as hospital emergency departments, without sacrificing quality. According to UnitedHealth Group, which provides health insurance plans nationwide, urgent care is more than five times more affordable than a visit to the ER.

ChristianaCare-GoHealth centers offer patients the added benefit of a direct connection to ChristianaCare’s robust care network, which is nationally recognized for quality and safety.

The new urgent care centers will hold grand opening events in their local communities later this summer.
