ChristianaCare Announces New Board Members

New members have been named to the ChristianaCare Health System and ChristianaCare Health Services boards, effective, Jan. 1, 2026.

“As we fulfill our mission of service to the community, the leadership of our boards and committees is vital to our success,” said President and CEO Janice E. Nevin, M.D., MPH. “I am excited to welcome these new members to our board, whose expertise and deep connections to the community will strengthen our ability to expand access to high-quality, equitable, affordable care throughout the region.”

ChristianaCare Health System Board additions

Dominick D’Eramo joined the Health System Board in June 2025. He is the chief investment officer of the Great Gray Trust Company, a provider of collective investment trust solutions. He brings to the board 35 years of expertise creating and executing growth strategies for investors. Consistent with his dedication to the community, D’Eramo has served on the boards of several local organizations, including Ursuline Academy, where he is currently a trustee, and Salesianum School, where he is a trustee and also chair of the finance and endowment committees. In addition to his Health System Board role, he also serves as chair of the Health System Finance Committee and is a member of the Health System Executive Committee, Health System Executive Compensation & Succession Planning Committee and Investment Subcommittee.

ChristianaCare Health Services Board additions

Beth Albano joins the Health Services Board. She is president and CEO of Artisans’ Bank, where she has served for over 34 years. She brings to the board experience in audit and compliance, finance, strategic planning and management. In addition to her role on the Health Services Board, Albano also serves on the Health System Audit and Compliance Committee. Additionally, she serves on the state of Delaware’s Council on Banking and Mount St. Mary’s University President’s Council.

Caitlin Halbert, D.O., MS, FACS, joins the Health Services Board as an ex officio member in her role as President of the ChristianaCare Medical-Dental Staff. She is a board-certified general surgeon with a clinical focus in bariatric and foregut surgery and serves as Medical Director of the Center for Weight Management. Dr. Halbert is also Chief of Surgical Services at the Wilmington Campus and a clinical associate professor at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. She will serve as a member of the Health Services Quality & Safety Committee.

David Trolio joins the Health Services Board as an ex officio member. He is director of Community Services for the government of Cecil County, Maryland, a role he has held since 2011. Trolio has a background in program development, administration, teaching, supervision, grant writing, budget management, data collection, public speaking, board development and outreach, and education. He is chair of the Affinity Health Alliance, Inc. / Union Hospital Board of Directors and Executive Committee and serves as a member of the Nominating Committee at Union Hospital.
