Kimberly P. Gannon, M.D., Ph.D. — Neurologist

Kimberly P. Gannon, M.D., Ph.D., is a vascular neurologist at Christiana Care Health System. Dr. Gannon is board-certified in Neurology.

Dr. Gannon earned her M.D. and Ph.D., in physiology and biophysics from University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), with service as a committee member, associated student body officer and invited lecturer. She completed her neurology residency and her fellowship in vascular neurology at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, including a Healthcare Leadership in Quality track and as a member of the Housestaff Quality Improvement Council. Dr. Gannon is the recipient of research recognition and scholarship awards, including induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Dr. Gannon joined UMMC as a research technician with the Department of Physiology. Her continuing research involvement includes serving as principle investigator for a study funded by the National Institute of Health-National Institute of Neurological Disease and Stroke. Dr. Gannon has presented nationally and contributed to articles in peer-reviewed publications, including the American Journal of Physiology.

She is a diplomate in Neurology with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Physician Scientist Association.
