Hocker was nominated by a patient who was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of love he delivered while caring for her.

“His full attention on me was very caring, but more than that, it came from the real essence of love – the love of his job, the love of his patient,” his nominator wrote.

Everything he did, the nominator expressed, was done with gentleness, care and precision. Hocker frequently checked to make sure her needs were being met and that she was comfortable. He carried himself with a “special Ronald radiance” that made being his patient a blessing, the nominator wrote.

“People who carry this feeling and put it into everything they do are rare,” the nominator wrote. “He is one of God’s stars!”
