Dr. Janice Nevin Honored by Modern Healthcare Among ‘100 Most Influential People in Healthcare’

For the second consecutive year, ChristianaCare President and CEO Janice E. Nevin, M.D., MPH, has been recognized as one of the health care industry’s foremost leaders by a national publication.

Modern Healthcare again named Nevin as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare for 2024.

This prestigious list acknowledges and honors individuals who are considered to be the most influential figures in the industry in terms of leadership and impact, according to their peers and the senior editors of Modern Healthcare.

“On behalf of the board and ChristianaCare’s 14,000 caregivers, I congratulate Dr. Nevin for once again earning national recognition for her dynamic, impactful leadership,” said Nicholas Marsini, chair of the Health System Board of Directors of ChristianaCare.

“To earn a spot on any Modern Healthcare list is impressive, but to be included for two years in a row on the Most Influential list is truly a testament to Dr. Nevin’s leadership, especially during these challenging times in health care.”

In addition to her recognition last year by Modern Healthcare as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare, Nevin has been selected for several Modern Healthcare lists, including those recognizing top clinical executives and top women leaders.

Nevin joined ChristianaCare in 2002 as chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine and became president and CEO in 2014. She has overseen the organization’s growth into a national leader in numerous areas, including quality and safety, caregiver well-being, health equity and value-based care. Locally, she has guided numerous expansions of ChristianaCare’s services and programs across Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

“Our list of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare reflects the important contributions of the men and women who have helped shape the industry in 2024,” said Mary Ellen Podmolik, editor-in-chief of Modern Healthcare.

“They come from all corners of the industry and their leadership has been felt from the doctor’s office to Capitol Hill. We look forward to these honorees continuing to wield their influence to protect and improve patient care.”
