Brittany Anderson Appointed Interim Nurse Manager, Newark PACU and CSA
Brittany Anderson, MSN, RN, CCRN, has been named interim nurse manager for Christiana Hospital Post Anesthesia Care Unit and Christiana Surgical Admissions. In this role, Anderson will be responsible for day-to-day operations for surgical admissions, prep & holding, phase I PACU, phase II PACU, and the temporary surgical observation unit located in the first floor CSA space.
Anderson has been an assistant nurse manager in PACU for five years and previously worked as a staff nurse in the Christiana Hospital Emergency Department.
She also is a co-lead for the Diverse-ABILITIES Employee Resource Group and also serves as hospital acquired pressure injury (HAPI) champion for Perioperative Services. She has been instrumental in coordinating multiple initiatives, such as the Code Green Honor Walk and ICU-to-OR direct transfers. Most recently, she was recognized as a patient experience advocate for her exceptional work with service recovery and NRC follow-up.
Anderson received her MSN degree from Drexel University and recently completed a post-master’s certificate program for adult clinical nurse specialist through Widener University.
She will report to Amy Kohl, MSN, RN, CCRN, NEA-BC, director of clinical operations for Perioperative Services.
