Dr. Janice Nevin Named Among Becker’s Great Leaders in Health Care
Janice Nevin, M.D., MPH, president and CEO, has been recognized among 113 great leaders in health care in Becker’s Hospital Review. Becker’s acknowledged leaders who “champion innovation and have built a solid cultural foundation for success in the future.”
Becker’s noted Dr. Nevin’s leadership in inclusion, health equity and anti-racism; development of the platform CareVio, which supports patients’ social and behavioral health needs; and the creation of eBrightHealth ACO, an accountable care organization for improving care coordination, clinical quality and value in Delaware.
Dr. Nevin has led ChristianaCare through significant growth even while meeting the needs of the community throughout the pandemic.
That growth included the acquisition of Union Hospital in Cecil County, Maryland; joint ventures to expand urgent care and develop a new spine surgery center; and continued expansion of primary care.
Under Dr. Nevin’s leadership, ChristianaCare has achieved increasing recognition as a health system of the highest quality, safety and innovation with six consecutive “Most Wired” designations from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).
