Jason Funyak Named Vice President, Support Services

Jason Funyak has been promoted to vice president, Support Services. In addition to his current responsibilities overseeing Environmental Services and Patient Escort, Funyak will now also be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and overall performance of Food and Nutrition Services and Textile Services.

Funyak has more than 20 years of experience managing the operations of various support services in the health care sector. He has served as director of Environmental Services and Patient Escort at ChristianaCare since 2010. He has served on multiple systemwide committees and led one of the inaugural model areas for the Making Tomorrow Happen initiative.

He received a bachelor’s degree in business logistics from Pennsylvania State University. He completed an Advisory Board Fellowship in 2016.

Funyak reports to Sharon Kurfuerst, EdD, OTR/L, FACHE, System Chief Operating Officer and President, Union Hospital.
