Claudia Angelica Reyes-Hull Named Manager of Operations, Cultural Competence and Language Services
Claudia Angelica Reyes-Hull, M.Arch., has been appointed manager of operations for Cultural Competence and Language Services. In this role, Reyes-Hull is responsible for development and implementation of Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) standards throughout ChristianaCare, including the monitoring and compliance of the Language Access Plan. She will maintain primary responsibility around the operations of programs to improve culturally responsive services, including the LINCC program, cultural consultation, various committees and task groups working to improve care for populations with unique needs.
In her prior role as the Manager of Language Services, Reyes-Hull managed the interpreters, coordinators, schedulers, translators and external vendors that provide language services to ChristianaCare staff and patients. She is a licensed trainer for Cross Cultural Communications (CCC). She has created programs for continuing education, including the Medical Interpreter Grand Rounds and brought together a coalition of leaders for the Cultural Competence and Language Access Leaders roundtable.
Prior to joining ChristianaCare, Reyes-Hull did architecture design, project management work and oversight for health care and human services projects in Texas. She implemented cultural diversity and bilingual education programs in Ohio’s public school system; worked as an interpreter for the Department of Justice, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Northeast Ohio clinics. In Pennsylvania, she worked as an interpreter for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Circuit Court.
Reyes-Hull holds a master’s in architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor’s degree in architecture the Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM).
She reports to Jacqueline Ortiz, M. Phil., vice president for Heath Equity and Cultural Competence.
