Anthony Reed Named Vice President, Population Health Operations

Anthony (Tony) Reed has been appointed vice president, Population Health Operations.
In this role, Reed designs and implements population health strategy and programming to position ChristianaCare and associated networks to move successfully toward total cost of care and enhanced value for the community.
He leads operations related to population health, including network development, contract management, clinician engagement, quality and regulatory affairs and risk coding. He also oversees operations functions for CareVio and works closely with the Analytics and Informatics teams on population health-focused activity.
Reed comes to ChristianaCare from Ascension Medical Group’s Clinical and Network Services where he served as vice president of Population Health Strategic Solutions, overseeing value-based health care programs and contracts. He is in his second term on the board of directors for the National Association of Accountable Care Organizations and has presented frequently at conferences on population health and value-based program topics.
He has more than 20 years of experience in health care including roles as chief administrative officer for the Keystone Accountable Care Organization; associate vice president of Accountable Care Initiatives at Geisinger Health; director of Business Development for Geisinger Diversified Services; and program director for VITALine Infusion Pharmacy Services. He also served for seven years as a product director for B. Braun Medical, Inc.
Reed will collaborate across ChristianaCare and partner with payors, employers, health systems and other external stakeholders.
He reports to Christine Donohue-Henry, M.D., MBA, president and CEO of eBrightHealth ACO.
