Tanisha Raiford Appointed Chief Compliance Officer

Tanisha Raiford, JD, MPA, CCEP, CIPP, CHPC, CHC, CHRC, has been appointed vice president of compliance and chief compliance officer for ChristianaCare. In this role, she oversees ChristianaCare corporate compliance programs for all campuses, the Medical Group and all ambulatory sites of service. Her responsibilities include promoting a culture of compliance and monitoring and reporting results of the compliance and regulatory efforts of ChristianaCare, both internally and externally.
Prior to joining ChristianaCare, Raiford served as the chief privacy and chief compliance officer, data protection officer and civil rights coordinator for Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York.
She holds a Juris Doctor from Pace Law School, a master’s degree in Public Administration from New York University and a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York Stony Brook. She is completing her LLM in Business Administration/Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance from Loyola School of Law.
Raiford reports to Sharon Kurfuerst, Ed.D, OTR/L, FACHE, system chief operating officer and president of Union Hospital.
