Mia Papas appointed corporate director of the Value Institute
Mia Papas, Ph.D., MS, has been appointed corporate director of the Christiana Care Value Institute.
In this new role she will oversee the research and operations of the Value Institute and work closely with Value Institute physician leader LeRoi S. Hicks, M.D., MPH, FACP, to set the strategic direction. She also will maintain key relationships and ensure the performance and accountability of Value Institute staff and the quality of its activities.
Papas joined Christiana Care in 2016 as director of Health Services Research at the Value Institute. She is the site principal investigator for the Delaware Center for Translational Research, a five-year, $20 million grant from the National Institutes of Health, to support clinical and translational research and improve health outcomes.
She received her doctorate in epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and has presented her research at more than 100 National and International conferences.
