Edmondo J. Robinson, M.D., MBA

Edmondo J. Robinson, M.D., MBA, Chief Transformation Officer of Christiana Care, received the Raising Kings – Black History in the Making Contemporary Award from One Village Alliance, Jan. 17, at a special Martin Luther King Day reception held at the Mitchell Center for African American Heritage.

The honor recognizes Dr. Robinson for his work in mentorship, improving health and raising awareness for the critical needs of youth in the City of Wilmington and throughout the state of Delaware. The award was co-chaired by Billy Allen and Dr. Kim Allen, prominent members of the Wilmington community and advocates for support of Wilmington’s youth. The event was also attended by Delaware Sen. Chris Coons and Wilmington Mayor Michael Purzycki.

Dr. Robinson has served as a mentor and positive role model for youth and has been supportive of the work of One Village Alliance and Raising Kings since the inaugural event five years ago. In his acceptance speech he reiterated the message that he often shares with his mentees: “refuse to be outworked.”
