Graduating medical students snap up all Christiana Care residency positions in first round

For the fourth consecutive year, Christiana Care has matched all of its residency position openings on the first round of the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).

In all, there are one osteopathic and 11 allopathic residency programs at Christiana Care, plus residencies in oral and maxillofacial surgery, dentistry, podiatry, pharmacy, pharmacy critical care and pastoral care. The matching program aligns the preferences of medical school graduates with the preferences of residency program directors to fill training positions throughout the U.S.

“This is a great testament to the support, leadership and dedication of all of our department chairs, program directors, assistants, coordinators, residents and faculty,” said Neil Jasani, M.D., MBA, FACEP, Christiana Care’s designated institutional official for graduate medical Education and Chief Academic Officer.
